By the time the sun was setting, the sky was painted an array of pink, orange and yellow, the clouds and the pale glow of the moon was beginning to show.
The gentle glow over the horizon is the signal to many that the sun is setting. It is very important to use adjectives when attempting to describe a sunset because they can create a picture of the light softly fading as nighttime approaches. Another way to describe a sunset is to say that the darkness is breaking. When looking at the sunset, it is often easy to describe how the sun is going away, but it is just as easy to say that dusk is coming.After a beautiful day the sky is blue with just a few clouds. The sun starts to go down with a yellow orange and red hue. The sun is bright yellow the clouds turn a purple and gray. It looks like the sun is burning things as it sets and sizzling the water on the lake till it is boiling. In a matter of just minutes there is nothing but darkness or an orange or almost red colored moon. Then the sun gilds the clouds, painting bright silver lines along their edges until they appear heavy and match the deep golden hue of warm whiskey. As darkness encroaches from the East, the sky is ablaze with fire in many different colors; there is red and yellow, purple and pink, blue, teal, orange, and even white. Then the sun slips below the horizon, and the clouds begin to shift and pale again, until night claims the sky and turns it into a sapphire glowing with its own inner light. Stars appear - one, two, five, a hundred - and finally, the darkness is complete.It's setting right now and instead of a playful sort of orange-yellow, color, it's almost a dark pink and red and yellow all jumbled together and it looks very serious! As if, it's all tired out from shining down on us so brightly today and this weekend. It must be very tired, for I looked straight at it and didn't need to blink or look away. It's quite spectacular. My eyes see a green dot in front of them now, for staring at it so long. I know staring at the sun is horrible for your eyes, but I really couldn't resist. It was so beautiful and bright!! In a perfect circle it shined! Like I said....it looked and looks almost serious. Somber or stern or....something like that!! It is most amazing tonight! I hope that everyone who reads this, got to experience the sun like I did!! Whether it was today or not......have you ever seen a sunset that looked so.......so beautiful that even a picture wasn't worth taking because there would be no possible way for the camera to capture the beauty?
